About the “Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius The “Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius” are a very profound engagement and re-dedication of our lives to the work of Christ in us, and in the world. In the Spiritual Exercises, five sessions are given in which a progressive appreciation of our relationship and commitment to God’s purposes is encouraged.  This retreat will begin each day with a time of contemplative prayer.  A teaching time related to the prayer exercises for that day will then follow.  In the afternoons you will be on your own to practice these prayers.  There will also be opportunities for personal spiritual direction each day related to the exercises.  And each evening we will come together again for debriefing and a compline liturgy.
